It would have been selfish of her if she just told Ruby or Yang about how she felt when she went up against Vernal, helplessly outclassed by her power. Not when they had other things to worry about.
The reprieve that being in a world that isn't hers is strange. Here, she's given time to sort her thoughts, to seek comfort, to talk about how she feels and look for a way to solve things. She can only be so lucky. Here and now, in the presence of someone who doesn't even belong to Remnant, she's able to find solace and comfort. Someone who doesn't know the hardships of being a Huntsman in Remnant, but someone who's carried the weight of his own world for a long time. That part is admirable on its own, but what Weiss appreciates more is that this said someone accepted her for who she is. Huffy and easily irritable, has a penchant for nitpicking... she may not be as strong as she is—he's witnessed her past, after all—but he still keeps her by his side.
He's amazing. And she thinks it now all the more when she kisses him. To think, after all she's told him about herself and the fate of her friends and all of Remnant, he's still here. He's holding her. Keeping her company. He's still letting her be a part of his life. And just like she promised him, she won't ever make him regret anything. Especially not this.
